Yes, you're right: the drum department of the musicZone music school is still called "rhythmZone" here. This is because the musicZone was first founded in 2002 as a pure drum school with this name. For nostalgic reasons and because it is so important to our headmaster, we have put together some extra information about the rhythm zone and also about Patrick Klemenz. Enjoy browsing :)

We teach everyone between the ages of 6 and 66, male and female. Everyone is welcome to join us and make drumming a little experience or even a career. You are very welcome to take a free trial lesson with us. This of course also applies to anyone interested in the cajón.Our own teaching concept consists of our own wealth of experience, lessons from various teachers and hundreds of live performances and studio work. But what is most important to us is that each student is taught individually and according to his or her wishes.Our main focus is on having fun playing the drums and playing with other musicians. For people who want to learn a lot more about this wonderful instrument, we have a very effective concept to help you make great progress in terms of independence, technique, rhythmic music theory and musical implementation. Workshops at rhythmzone

At rhythmZone, interesting drum workshops or cajón workshops are also held regularly with well-known teachers from all over Germany. These workshops serve to provide new motivation and to get to know a different perspective on the respective topic.

Under Media you can see video compilations of our previous workshops with Anika Nilles, Patrick Metzger (including Beatrice Egli), Andy Gillmann, Daniel Schild, Oli Rubow, Matthias Philipzen, Frank Dapper (including PUR), Joe Styppa, Florian Fochs, Antoine Fillon or Bene Neuner (Glasperlenspiel).

The workshops usually take place on Sundays around 3 p.m., last about 2 hours and cost between 15 and 25 €. Registration via email at info@rhythmzone.de

Personal musical career of Patrick Klemenz, born 16.04.1971 in Stuttgart / Bad Cannstatt

Self-taught drummer from the age of 16 to 19
First band called CRAP debut concert in July 1986
Participation in 3 national youth competitions with the group "No Remorse In Paradise", 2 first prizes and 1 second prize. Many performances in 5 years, including in Poland. 1989-1994
Afterwards, private drum lessons with the Federal Jazz Prize winner Michael Kersting and with Dave Horner (drummer with “Pumping Special”, “Blues for two” etc.) as well as various workshops with Jim Chapin, Danny Gottlieb, Dave Weckl, Ralf Gustke, Marc Schulman, Virgil Donati, Wolfgang Haffner, Dom Famularo, JoJo Mayer, Gregg Bissonette, Gavin Harrison, Chad Wackerman, Billy Ward and Flo Dauner, among others.
Assistance for various cover bands (including Woodrock)
Record deal with BMG with the group SHEEP. Many appearances, including as support act for “Fools Garden” and “Bell, Book & Candle” as well as stays in Italy and France.
Start of intensive drum lessons at the drum school “Drummers Focus”, which is one of the most renowned schools in Germany and offers a correspondingly high-quality education - also as a drum teacher.
On tour with the group "Pyogenesis" (record contract with Nuclear Blast) and the group "Gallery" (record contract with Virtual Records). Also on tour in Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as well as TV appearances.
Joined the band “Bambolea” - specialist media award 2004, artist group of the year 2003. Many performances, especially in southern Germany, as well as TV appearances.

Founding of his own cover band called “PINK PARTY PLANE”, various performances for DaimlerChrysler Sindelfingen, Dinkelacker Schwabenbräu, IHK Stuttgart, Rotary Club, Radio Antenne 1, Radio 107.7, Intersport Handball Masters, etc.
